Burlesque has always been known for its eccentricity and originality, with each performer striving to stand out and bring their own unique interpretation of the genre. What we now consider "classic burlesque" was once a novel concept.
For her act, Katrin drew inspiration from her own vision of the genre and her musical preferences. She pushes the boundaries of "classical burlesque" by incorporating modern elements, while continuing to respect the traditions of the genre.
The result? A breathtaking performance in the Bump and Grind style—one that embodies the essence of classic burlesque, popular in the 1940s and ‘50s. The act is set to Jimi Hendrix's timeless hit "Foxy Lady", written in 1966, and which is included in the list of "500 Greatest Songs of All Time". And all this with Katrin in a magnificent snow-white suit adorned with thousands of pearls and Swarovski crystals.
In her number "Siren's Melody", Katrin emerges from sea foam, captivating the audience with her fully embodied character and her thrilling, frenetic energy. The once terrifying image of the siren gives way to new forms, such as her once devastating melody. No longer confined to a metaphorical representation of the sea, the siren has transformed into a beguiling and alluring woman, as volatile and captivating as the ocean itself.
