Burlesque Show in Berlin +4917686373350
The musical direction intentionally moves beyond the boundaries of classical burlesque, adding depth and character to the act. This contrast is not softened — it becomes an essential part of the aesthetic, creating that rare sensation where tension and beauty intensify one another.
La Fée Verte is chosen for events where not only visual luxury is valued, but also atmosphere — the kind that evokes a genuine emotional response. This act does not aim to be universal — and precisely for that reason, it leaves a lasting impression, remaining in memory as something deeply personal, refined, and truly unique.
Unlike the classic champagne glass act, which originated during the Prohibition era in the United States, La Fée Verte is a fully original work. Katrin does not reinterpret tradition — she creates a new form within the genre. The unique construction of the absinthe glass, its proportions, visual language, and the dramaturgy of the performance were developed from the ground up and officially patented, making this act entirely one of a kind.
Duration: 6:26 minutes of exceptional art.
LA FÉE VERTE
Since its earliest days, absinthe has been surrounded by an aura of mystery, prohibition, and dangerous allure. It was known as La Fée Verte — the Green Fairy — a muse to artists, poets, and those who dared to feel more deeply than convention allows. It does not take one away from reality — it sharpens it, making every sensation more vivid, almost tangible.
In La Fée Verte, Katrin explores this state, creating not just a performance, but an atmosphere where refined aesthetics meet inner tension. This is not a playful act of seduction, but a carefully composed piece in which beauty, strength, and fragility exist in delicate balance, forming a layered and captivating experience.
At the center of the performance stands a large absinthe glass, around which the action unfolds. Light, flame, splashes of liquid, movement, and the fluidity of the body merge into a cohesive visual composition, where every detail is refined to perfection. The space feels enclosed, drawing the audience into complete focus. There are no accidental gestures — only precision, control, and expression.
"This is the kind of act chosen not simply to impress, but to create a moment that cannot be replicated or repeated."
Historically, the glass act became one of the most iconic symbols of burlesque: an atmosphere of mystery, music, alcohol, and a woman embodying the illusion of forbidden pleasure. The first known performer of this concept was Rita Atlanta (Alexander) in the 1950s, for whom the term “Champagne Girl” was coined.
In the 2000s, Dita Von Teese brought this act back to international prominence, recreating its classical form and setting a standard of excellence that continues to define modern burlesque.
Today, La Fée Verte represents the next step in the evolution of the genre. It is neither a reconstruction nor a stylistic homage, but an independent artistic statement, where classical elements are transformed into a more contemporary, complex, and expressive stage form. Here, burlesque moves beyond nostalgia and takes on a new voice — bold, authorial, and unmistakably unique.
