WOMAN IN RED
Many people, when hearing the word “burlesque”, imagine an elegant lady in a shimmering costume, dancing with feather fans to jazz music. This is only part of the image — burlesque is far deeper, bolder, and more multifaceted.
“Woman in Red” is an act inspired by the legendary “Bump n’ Grind”, one of the most sensual and expressive styles of classical burlesque, which reached its peak in the 1940s–50s.
In contrast to the more restrained burlesque of the early 20th century, “Bump n’ Grind” is defined by energy, rhythm, and a more daring physical expression. It blends elements from various dance traditions, with a strong focus on movement, musicality, and interaction with the audience.
“Woman in Red” adapts effortlessly to a variety of formats — from atmospheric parties to concerts and private events where style, character, and a strong stage presence matter.
